Ecotricity- Vivienne Westwood

My 2017 began with the honour of dressing at the Vivienne Westwood fashion show at London Men's collection. This was the first season the brand combined both women's and men's collections, making it their biggest show yet.

Always controversial, Vivienne is inspired by politics, history and the environment, this time focusing on renewable energy with the show titled 'Ecotricity', the name of the worlds first green energy company using windmill farms to create renewable energy to the UK.

Backstage was a whirlwind of models, designers, makeup artists and dressers with 50 looks in the show. The models chosen were unique and an eccentric mix with every style and ethnicity represented even more showcasing the eclecticism style of Vivienne Westwood.

Each look was as unique as the next but somehow cohesive including cowboy boots, knitwear, relaxed tailoring, draped dresses And garments dawned with patterns and prints in tartan and childlike drawings, the the brand is so known for.

Models wore childlike arts and craft headbands and necklaces made of twigs, paper, cork and  often reading ecotricity, also worn by Westwood herself. Others dawned fake nails on the inside of their fingers, paper nails or finger puppets and makeup of geometric patters or bare faced.

The after show gathering backstage was as eventful with celebrities like Tinie Tempa and RJ Mitte better known as Walter White Jr. In breaking bad, Giving congratulations to Vivienne and her husband and co-designer Andreas Kronthaler.

They say you shouldn't meet your idol, but I did and it was brilliant!
