Summer Lovin'

I haven't done a blog post in a while as I have been super busy between; work, interning at Phoenix Magazine and holidaying in Sardinia. This is a quick post featuring some new wardrobe additions that I have been obsessing over. Summer has FINALLY arrived in London, this weekend being a scorching 25 degrees! Not too warm compared to an Aussie summer but bliss compared to the usual grey rainy days here is London.

My go to accessory at the moment is my Miu Miu sunglasses, a wonderful Birthday gift from my boyfriend. These are perfect for any outfit as the tortoise shell is neutral and the unique shape complements both bohemian and edgy outfits. These are certainly 'Diva' glasses, which makes me feel confident no matter where I'm going.

Summer in London means a lot of walking so comfortable shoes are a must. I'm obsessed with trainers at the moment but I also like to look sporty and chic. These are the new TN's from Nike, quite masculine in style but in pink satin looks girly and on trend. 'Luxury' trainers are really in this season seen from brands such as Dior, Miu Miu and Valentino.

This Calf Hair Leopard print bag from Burberry was a Birthday splurge when I was shopping in the Flag ship store in Regent Street. I always love a bit of leopard print as it brings excitement to an otherwise monochrome outfit. It is also the perfect size for concerts or nights out as it doubles as a wallet with card slots and a zipped compartment.

Finally my favourite sweaters, perfect for those in between season days. I bought the black one from Vintage shop Blitz and the White from Urban Outfitters but are both from the label Illustrated people, a female street brand inspired by the early 2000's and sports wear. Featuring sailor style lettering and swallows, roses and anchors in pink and green Glitter, the black sweater is so easy to throw on with a sporty outfit to give it a girly edge. I love to juxtaposition of the tough font and wording of 'Princess' on the white Sweater, the tough but girly nature sums up my style and personality.

I have done a lot of shopping in the past month as it was my birthday and the Summer sale period! As I'm off to Ireland and Australia on holidays, I'll be keeping my shopping to a minimum so these items will give my existing wardrobe a refreshing look as each piece is versatile and trans-seasonal.
