Street Photography at London Fashion Week
Yesterday I took my Canon 600D camera out for the first time as I got to attend my first London Fashion Week! I had no idea how to use it and had to ask a lady with the same camera as me to change it to the right setting for Street photography. I attended 5 shows and will post about that later, but what I enjoyed most about the day was taking photographs of street fashion from those attending the shows. I was so inspired by people's creativity and individuality and left feeling very under dressed! I'm still working on my photography skills but these are a few of the photos I took. Enjoy!

London Fashion Week- Jean Pierre Braganza and Fyodor Golan
Today I was lucky enough to dress two shows at London Fashion Week!!! The first show I dressed was Jean Pierre Braganza. His collection was inspired by jazz music and how it is structured yet free and improvised like. His collection included asymmetry, drapery and relaxed tailoring.

The second show I dressed was Fyodor Golan. I really loved this collection as it is fun, youthful and adventurous. This collection had a strong reference to pop culture, particularly with the transformer motifs. Another inspiration was nature as shown in the flower prints and rose applique. China's next top model contestants were modeling in the show as part of a challenge, with Miss J as the judge!

Over all I thoroughly enjoyed dressing the models and getting to experience backstage at LFW! Can't wait to do it all again on Sunday and to see the Middle East and Asia Show tomorrow.

Cosmo Fashion Fest stylist event
On Monday I attended the Cosmo Fashion Fest where we were lucky enough to listen to a panel of celebrity stylists. These included the likes of; Cosmopolitan magazine Editor Farrah Storr, Celerity Makeup artist, Justine Jenkins, X factor lead Stylist Gemma Sheppard, Model and TV Presenter Lilah Parsons and celebrity manicurist Michelle Humphry. They gave us insight into the fashion industry and career advice. It was also a lovely social outing with all the students from the Foundation Fashion styling course at The London College of Style.

London College of style and Prince Cassius
So last Wednesday was my first day studying at the London College of style where I started my foundation course in personal and editorial styling. I was very nervous considering I had changed my whole life to do this course! I moved from Australia and left behind my family and everything familiar to me, although being the scariest decision of my life it has also turned out to be the best! My first day was amazing, meeting so many like-mind people and learning so much about the industry and what being a stylist entails. We also met Prince Cassius a superstar blogger who taught us a lot about our image and how to blog. We are currently working on the concept 'Gender has no colour' where half of us have to style a women's wear shoot in red and the other half a men's wear shoot in pink. I got the menswear which is out of my comfort zone but I'm excited to do something different and challenging. Photos of the shoot will be up soon so stay tuned!

Marques Almeida
So a couple of days ago I went to the Marques Almeida sample sale and the clothes were amazing! It was so great to be able to see their garments in real life, especially their signature denim pieces. Unfortunately I didn't get anything as I am on a student budget and am currently looking for work as I moved to London from Australia 2 weeks ago . I did try on a few pieces and my favorite was this pink sheer dress! Very 90's Kate Moss and definitely on my wish list!
